Welcome to NC Academy of General Dentistry

Welcome to the North Carolina Academy of General Dentistry’s website, where you will find information about the NCAGD’s role in the dental profession. The NCAGD strives to serve the needs and represent the interests of general dentists, to promote the oral health of the public, and to foster continued proficiency of general dentists through quality continuing education in order to better serve the public. The organization’s aim is to be the premier organization of general dentists, dedicated to improving the quality and delivery of comprehensive dental services, education, health promotion and wellness.

2021 Annual Meeting!  Now Virtual!

The NCAGD Board of Directors held an emergency teleconference to determine whether the 2021 Annual Meeting should be in person, hybrid, or virtual program. Due to limitations in being able to properly social distance the board determined it would be in the best interest of the membership to switch the NCAGD Annual Meeting to a virtual program.
The NCAGD Annual Meeting will continue on February 12-13, 2021 as a virtual meeting. The downside of a virtual meeting is that we are not able to see each other in person and meet up with colleagues and friends. The benefits of a virtual program are:
  • Securing additional CE credits beyond what is earned at an in person program
  • Having the ability to view sessions live and on demand at your leisure
  • Earning additional CE credits without an increase in fees
  • The ability for the entire auxiliary team to participate in all sessions for both days.
  • Avoiding traffic traveling to and from the venue
Most important, being able to be a part of dynamic sessions selected to enhance your knowledge and profession!
